Mrs. Carta's first grade welcomed Illustrator, Erin Coleman Ryan to read her book, "The Matter of the Moo Cow".  A great time was had by all!

The Peanuts Movie

First grade got to see the opening of "the Peanuts Movie" because we were the first grade to reach 100% in our school's capital campaign!

Does a pumpkin sink or float?

Mrs. Carta asked her class if they thought a pumpkin would sink or float and each student made a guess.  Do you know?  A pumpkin floats!

La Feria de la Hispanidad

Mrs. Carta's class enjoyed celebrating La Feria de la Hispanidad with author, Marianne Arellano!  She read two of her books to the class and left the children
